Pet Stain & Odor Removal Guide

Pet Accidents Happen

Whether you have one critter or several, BASIC has special methods and products to help.

Pet urine may not be visible under normal lighting conditions. This photo shows how our special Ultra-Violet light locates exactly where your pets accidents are.

All of the odor may not be in the carpet. This photo reveals where a pet has sprayed walls.

1) Treating the carpet alone does very little good.
Pet urine penetrates down into the carpet pad and remains trapped there. In fact, when it comes to urine spots, only about 20% stays in the carpet. The additional 80% is absorbed into the padding. This is why the odor lingers even when the spot appears to be gone. BASIC has developed a special pet urine removal technique that flushes and removes the icky stuff from your pad as well as your carpet. The result: Your home is going to smell WAY better!

2) Cats, Dogs and Radical Measures
While most canine odors can be broken down and almost completely removed, feline odors are far more persistent. In some cases it may be necessary to remove and replace the pad in areas where cats have sprayed a lot. In other cases, entire replacement of the carpet may be the only solution. BASIC can provide you with a thorough inspection and evaluation of your unique situation. We will give you a professional assessment and recommendations in the interest of helping you solve your pet odor problem in the most realistic and economical way possible.

3) Other Odors
Pets are not the only source of odors. There can be smoke odors from fireplaces or tobacco. There can be musty odors from having a damp indoor environment. Even simple things such as cooking can cause odors to settle into carpets, rugs and furniture. Regardless of the source, BASIC can help your home smell cleaner and fresher.
