Warranty

We promise to use the finest products, the best equipment and the most experienced staff to clean your carpets and fine furnishings. If you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of our work, call us within 10 days of the initial cleaning and we will return and re-clean any areas that you would like at no additional charge. If this fails to resolve the problem, we will cheerfully refund your money on whatever part of the job you are not satisfied with. This warranty specifically excludes pet stains, and pet odors, stains caused by dyes, ink, paint, bleach spots and color loss. Oil and grease spots on polyester and olefin carpet fibers are excluded. Pre-existing conditions such as traffic lane gray due to texture loss, shading, pooling and pile reversal are not conditions that are correctable by cleaning and are, therefore expressly excluded from this warranty.

Don’t Risk Invalidating Your Carpet’s Warranty! Not Every Company Meets Manufacturers Requirements BASIC Carpet Care DOES

Beginning in January 2007, the three leading carpet mills, Shaw, Mohawk and Beaulieu, adopted new warranty requirements for their better quality residential carpets. These mills manufacture 85% of the residential carpet sold in the U.S. All cleaning performed on such carpets,  MUST be done using products and equipment which have been tested and approved by the CRI Seal of Approval Program. Use of cleaning products or equipment that do not have the Carpet and Rug Institute Seal of Approval, will invalidate the manufacturers warranty on that carpet.

BASIC Carpet Care was the first professional carpet cleaning firm in the state of Kansas to become a CRI Seal of Approval Approved Service Provider. You can rest easy, knowing that our cleaning will not void the manufacturers warranty on your carpet.
Starting January 2008, Shaw, added another warranty requirement on their better quality residential carpets. Shaw now requires that they be cleaned only by companies that are IICRC Certified Firms. If homeowners have their Shaw carpets cleaned by a company that is not an IICRC Certified Firm, the warranty becomes void.  (The Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration Certification)  IICRC sets standards for the cleaning and restoration industry. While a carpet cleaner or their staff may hold personal certification, this is NOT the same as being an IICRC Certified FIRM.  Certified Firms must meet stringent requirements over and above those required for individual IICRC registrants. BASIC has been an IICRC Certified Firm for many years. Having your Shaw carpet cleaned by BASIC will not void your warranty. Some dishonest carpet cleaners will illegally use IICRC or CRI logos on their business cards, and advertising. To be sure that the firm that is going to clean your carpets will not void your carpet warranty, you should see if they are listed on the IICRC and CRI websites.
